UAP Insurance Company Ltd.

UAP entered Uganda in 2005 after acquiring a majority 52.99 per cent stake in United Assurance Company, renaming it UAP Insurance Uganda.

We are part of  UAP Holdings Limited Which has a strong regional presence with offices in Kenya, Rwanda, DRC, Uganda and South Sudan. We are a composite insurance company offering a full suite of policy covers including general, life and medical insurance. At UAP we take pride in offering not only the highest possible customer service standards but also, in raising the bar for competitors. As testimony to our commitment to innovation and market leadership, we have a number of achievements to show for this: our parent company, UAP Provincial, was the first insurance company to be ISO 9001 certified in East and Central Africa. In Uganda, we are the second largest insurance company to be ISO 9001 certified and hold the highest credit rating in the market today (Global Credit Rating AA+), a reflection of management and financial strength. In 2013, UAP insurance Uganda was recognized by the Uganda association of insurance brokers (UAIB) as the insurer of the year.
