Business Analyst – Corporate Careers – Tropical Bank Limited
Tropical Bank Limited is looking to hire a Business Analyst for their Corporate unit in Kampala, Uganda. This position plays a crucial role in developing and analyzing corporate credit proposals to ensure quality portfolio growth and compliance with banking policies and regulatory requirements.

Job Summary: The Business Analyst – Corporate will be responsible for managing corporate loans, ensuring compliance with bank policies, and providing administrative support to the corporate unit. This includes reviewing and maintaining a register of all corporate loans, following up on loan facilities, and ensuring quality portfolio performance.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review and document corporate loans in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Follow up on corporate loan facilities from inception to disbursement.
- Ensure proper documentation and KYC compliance for all files.
- Monitor pending loan applications and sales-related errors.
- Resolve customer queries and complaints in a timely manner.
- Control costs within the agreed budget and comply with AML/CFT/CPF policies.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Honours degree in banking, commerce, business administration, economics, statistics, management, or a relevant field.
- Practical training in banking or product management.
- At least three years of experience in banking, with at least one year in a credit-related role.
- Knowledge of MS Office tools and understanding of bank products and services.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, guide and train others, and demonstrate a high level of integrity.
- Fluency in English and preferably another local language (like Luganda).
