Call for Proposals and Grants for Local Projects in Thailand and Laos
The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Bangkok has launched a call for proposals for the Local Transformation Projects (LTP) directly managed by the Embassy of the Czech Republic.
Qualifying Projects
In accordance with the Concept of the Czech Republic’s Human Rights and Transition Promotion Policy, the projects should focus on the following areas:
- Supporting civil society;
- Promoting the freedom of expression and information, including the freedom of media;
- Supporting institution-building in the area of rule of law;
- Promoting an equal and full political and public participation;
- Promoting equality and non-discrimination;
- Promoting human rights in employment and in the environmental context.Funding Information
A project can be funded with a budget to 500 000 CZK (app. 22 900 USD) maximum (with an average amount for project usually being 250 000 CZK, or 11 450 USD). Co-funding from the applicant or other sources is welcome.
Maximum LTP duration is nine months from signing of Contract (approx. February/March) to October.
Eligibility Criteria
Only local Thai, resp. Lao non-governmental, community and not-for-profit organizations with legal capacity in their respective countries can submit an LTP proposal.
How to Apply
All proposals should be delivered to the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Bangkok via email at the address given on the website both in electronic form (editable AND scanned with stamp and signature), and paper form (e.g. by post).
The proposals must contain:
- Completed Identification Form with stamp and signature (see attachment),
- Copy of the Document proving the Applicant’s legal capacity,
- Copy of the Authorization of the signed person to act on the Applicant’s behalf.Apply by 25th October.
