Job Summary: The Cash Product Manager is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits. Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Segmentation, customer needs identification, competitive benchmarking, maintenance & enhancements, pricing, capacity planning, delivery and project implementations.
- Determining products suite development and maintaining best practice and success transfer
- Working in tandem with relationship managers to increase cross-sale as a means of stimulating balance sheet and P&L growth.
- Subject Matter Expert responsible for guidance to Sales/RM’s in respect of customer acquisitions and successful knowledge transfer to internal business partners in respect of liquidity management products including (but not restricted to) short-term passive / active investment options, notional pooling and target balancing.
- Drive innovation as a means of business growth.
- Overseeing the efficient operation of the domestic account products (FCY & LCY) with a continual focus on enhancing profitability, providing smoothed revenue flows in tandem with product growth.
- Manage the expenses line of the P&L in particular on consumption/direct expenses and other allocated costs. Maintain positive cash EBIT and net income on a monthly basis
- Identification and evaluation of potential revenue opportunities in new and diverse markets in all industry segments.
- Liabilities growth as per the ALCO policy.
- In collaboration with Relationship Managers maintain an actives sales momentum pipeline (origination, wins and pipeline) on CRM and follow through on executions and ramp-up.
- Manage and own the Transfer Pricing process to ensure efficient balance sheet management, liquidity monitoring and maximization real returns to the bank.
- Maintaining product Distribution/Network strategy and maximizing delivery channels utilization, monitoring and maximization returns.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citi’s , clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
- Complex Solution Review (CSR) and Transactional presentation – Approval template preparation and presentation at CSR review discussions at the regional or global level.
- Establish and maintain communications with Operations & Technology, Client Coverage and customers to support the enhancement of sales knowledge, current issues and developments and effective delivery of Receivables products
- Maintain working engagements with internal and external counsel as regards legal expertise on Cash products
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicants for the Citi Bank Cash Product Manager job must hold a Bachelor’s degree
- Two years of work experience in Product Management, Market Management or Sales
- Two to six years of experience
- Capacity to proactively anticipate, identify and resolve problems
- Strategy oriented with ability to multi-task
- Desire to drive projects from ideation or assignment to execution
- Appetite for challenging assignments
