The National Social Security Fund (NSSF) is a Provident Fund mandated to provide social security to its members as prescribed by law under CAP 222 (Laws of Uganda) through efficient management of members’ contributions. The NSSF asset base is currently over Ugx. 9.8 trillion, making the Fund one of the largest players in Uganda’s economy.
Job Summary: The Content Officer will be responsible for producing high quality, print ready artworks and motion content across a range of digital and traditional media. In addition, to support PR, brand and marketing related activities implemented across the Fund.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Creating high quality, creative graphics, both still and motion artworks for a range of media including digital and traditional for both internal and external communication.
- Participate in development of creative and digital marketing strategy.
- Implement appropriate design corporate standards to inform the creative visual execution.
- Participate conceptual and creative thinking and brainstorming for all creative works.
- Create and design graphics to complement the text and visually enhanced documents.
- Leverage on new developments and technologies relevant to the marketing, design and advertising industry.
- Liaise with the advertising agency on design related projects.
- Support smooth design and procurement of branded Items such and ensure their timely stock and availability.
- Coordinate development of branding concepts for branding items and ensure proper application, in line with the branding standards.
- Support the monitoring of the Brand design standards across all branch touch points.
- Support and coordinate in the implementation of the brand guidelines and standards in all brand activities.
- Handle all other related brand and creative design activities that may arise.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate must hold a University Degree in a Marketing, Communications or Business from an accredited University.
- Additional training in Graphics & motion Design and multi-media.
- Professional qualification and certification in related field is an added advantage.
- At least 3 years marketing experience preferably in a busy advertising agency working on a busy commercial organization with a strong service orientation.
- 3 years marketing and creative experience.
- Strong creative & marketing knowledge
- High level of conceptualization
- High proficiency in a range of design software: Freehand, Adobe Photoshop, Quark Xpress, InDesign, Illustrator, Cinema 4D, 3DXMax, Flash, ZBrush, Dreamweaver, and any additional software skill.
- A sound understanding of the industry trends.
