CUHAS Joining Instructions Morning and Evening 2016 / 2017
1.We are pleased to inform you that you have been selected for admission to the Catholic University of Health and Allied Sciences (CUHAS), formally Weill Bugando University College of Health Sciences, into the DDR/DPS/DMLS Programme for the
2016/2017 Academic Year.
1.1You should report to the University, which is located within the Bugando Medical Centre building complex, at Bugando in Mwanza, between 9am – 4pm on 24th September (Saturday), or 25th (Sunday), 2016 for Orientation Activities which begin on 26th September 2016 (Monday).
1.2You will need to bring with you your ORIGINAL form four (4) and form six (6) Certificates (if applicable), or NECTA – CERTIFIED Copies thereof, with your means of identification, as well as Medical Certificate of fitness and two passport sized photos; if you have not submitted them already.
2.0Payment of Fees and Registration
2.1Fees and other financial obligations are the sole responsibility of the student and/or the sponsor or guardian. Fees are payable in full at the beginning of each academic year or in two equal installments; at the beginning of each semester. Fees payable are detailed below:
(i)All candidates are required to pay the following administrative fees in full at the beginning of the academic year:

(ii)All student are required to pay in addition 1,550,000/= as academic fees, in full at the beginning of the academic year or in two equal instalments at the beginning of each semester.

(iii)Other Costs
All sponsors, parents, guardians should be aware that other costs payable to the student in the course of training include meals, stationery, books, field work as detailed in the fee structure.
3.0All money payable to the University should be paid directly into the University account presently with CRDB.

3.1A bank receipt should be obtained for submission to the University.
3.2CUHAS-Bugando will not handle student’s personal money. Any extra money included in the fees will be assumed to be prepayments for the subsequent year. Please note that no student will be allowed to carry forward part of the fee into the following academic year.
3.3Hostel Accommodation provided by BMC
Hostel Accommodation is provided by BMC on campus and are limited, students are required to pay for Accommodation 480,000/= per year, This should be paid in full at the beginning of the year or in two equal installment.
The University does not provide meals to students; however, there are several cafeterias within the compound for reasonable prices.
The cost of accommodation and meals is about 7500/= per day.
3.4All Hostel money are payable to BMC should be paid directly into the Hospital account presently with CRDB.
