ESAMI Uganda Business School TRAPCA Foundation Courses Evaluation

Each of the modules will be evaluated

  1. There will be graded exercises in Trade Data Retrieval and Analysis, amounting to 20 marks.
  2. There will be a 1-hour written examination at the end of week 2, covering the material taught by then, and a second 1-hour examination in week 4, covering the material taught during weeks 3 and 4. Total marks from both written examinations will be 100.
  3. Participants will also be evaluated for class participation (a maximum total of 10 marks awarded at the rate of 1 mark per lecture block). There are 32 lecture blocks.
  4. Participants will also be evaluated for moot negotiation participation (a maximum total of 20 marks.
  5. The Analytical Paper will be evaluated out of 100marks distributed as follows:
    • paper writing process leading to draft 1 including the product, 25;
    • paper writing process leading to draft 2 including the draft, 25; and
    • final paper (structure, coherence, originality, adherence to style guidelines, and use of references), 50.

The total maximum marks will thus be 250. The total marks for each student out of 250 will then be converted into a percentage to provide the final mark which will be the basis of categorizing the certificates to be awarded on completion of the course.
