Executive Assistant to the Country Representative Position at LWF World Service in Kampala, Uganda

Lutheran World Federation (LWF) Uganda, part of the LWF World Service, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Executive Assistant to support the Country Representative. This position is based in Kampala, Uganda, and offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the organization’s humanitarian and development efforts in the country.

About the Role:

The Executive Assistant will provide high-level administrative and executive support to the Country Representative, ensuring efficient management of the office, handling external relations activities, and managing communication and information flow.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Providing executive and administrative support to the Country Representative.
  • Arranging high-level meetings and workshops, preparing documentation, and taking minutes.
  • Supporting senior management meetings and report preparation.
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance and maintain institutional registrations and certificates.
  • Managing travel arrangements and operational costs for the Country Representative’s office.
  • Leading the preparation and organization of international visits and delegations.
  • Facilitating effective communication and information management within the office.
  • Maintaining filing, archiving, and record-keeping systems.
  • Assisting with other duties as assigned by the Country Representative.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Recognized Degree in a relevant field or equivalent qualification.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in similar roles.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-playing skills.
  • Proficiency in English and strong computer skills in MS Office and Internet applications.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Empathy with LWF’s vision, mission, and objectives.
