City Medicals is a highly specialized Medical Service provider that offers pre-deployment and routine medical check-ups, on-site and remote-site medical services, international vaccination, travel medicine, DNA testing, highly quality diagnostic tests, occupational medicine, tropical and infectious diseases, surgery, admission and dental services.

Job Summary:  The Finance and Accounts Manager will provide overall day to day management of the accounting department in both City Medicals and City Ambulance. In liaison with the account’s assistants, he/she will ensure follow up and management of finances, budgeting, compliance with taxes, reconciliation, invoicing and debt collection.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including:

  • Month and end-year process
  • Accounts payable/receivable
  • Cash receipts
  • General ledger
  • Payroll and utilities
  • Treasury, budgeting
  • Cash forecasting
  • Revenue and expenditure variance analysis
  • Capital assets reconciliations
  • Trust account statement reconciliations
  • Check runs
  • Fixed asset activity
  • Debt collection
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
  • Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles
  • Coordinate and complete annual audits
  • Provide financial and accounting recommendations
  • Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
  • Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy
  • Meet financial accounting objectives
  • Establish and maintain fiscal files and records of all transactions of both City medicals and City Ambulance

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

  • The Finance and Accounts Manager must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration or Finance and Accounting.
  • Qualification in CPA will be an added advantage
  • At least five years’ experience in similar position in a busy organization preferably in a medical industry.
  • Proficient computer and accounting software usage like Ms. Word, MS Office and Quick books.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Good time management skills.
