About USAID Project:

USAID’s Act to End Neglected Tropical Diseases East is a five-year program led by RTI International (RTI). The program supports national governments to reach NTD control and elimination goals through proven, cost- effective public health interventions and also provides critical support to countries in their journey to self-reliance, helping them to create sustainable programming for NTD control within robust and resilient health systems.

Job Summary:  The Finance and Grants Manager will work closely with COP, technical staff, and RTI regional and home office staff to ensure project resources are effectively and efficiently used in order to achieve project objectives and results. The position supervises the Finance Assistant, Procurement Specialist, and Grants Specialist and ensures financial and operational information is provided to project leadership, regional and home office staff, and technical staff for timely decision making. The Finance & Grants Manager must ensure that project implementation is done in an environment of strong controls and that the project complies with RTI and USAID rules and regulations. S/He will ensure appropriate systems and procedures (cash management, vendor payments, budgeting and forecasting, procurement, property management, grants management and other related financial and operational tasks) are in place to ensure that the project operates efficiently, using resources effectively and within the budget of the project.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

  • The ideal candidate must hold a Master’s degree and nine years of experience or Bachelor’s Degree and 12 years of experience in Business Administration/Financial Management or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must have completed CPA, ACCA.
  • Experience working with USAID.
