Cure Children’s Hospital of Uganda (CURE Uganda), a non-profit Christian hospital located in Mbale, is the only pediatric neurosurgery center with a mission of transforming the lives of children living with neurological disabilities and their families through physical and spiritual healing.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant should have completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Commerce, or any other related area.
- Professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, CIMA is an added advantage.
- A minimum of three to five (3-5) years of work experience in accounting/finance. Work experience in a PNFP/NGO, healthcare setting, and/or senior management position is an added advantage.
- One year of experience supervising other Staff.
- Knowledge of government agencies to be appropriately interfaced with tor given legal or regulatory issues with regard to accounting or record keeping.
- Strong understanding of “generally accepted” accounting principles and methodologies.
- Excellent computer skills including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, E-mail and internet.
- Strong work experience with one or more computerized accounting systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Fluency in English required. Fluency in the predominant local language (s) also an added advantage.
- Must uphold professional integrity.
