Job Summary: The Finance Manager will manage the financial reporting and compliance requirements of the Bank. .
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review of approved supplier and staff payment documents for accuracy, completeness and against the budget before execution of payment.
- Carry out project appraisals and evaluations of all new products and services.
- Prepare the product costing & pricing report on a quarterly basis.
- Verify all Head Office transactions to ensure they are properly accounted for.
- Approve payments in line with the approval limits as mandated.
- Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly returns to BOU
- Ensure preparation and maintenance of an accurate fixed asset register.
- Prepare end of year final accounts in line with FIA & IFRS guidelines.
- Coordination of internal & external audits.
- Ensure issues raised by the independent reviewers are attended to in a timely manner. Ensure that relevant policies are updated in a timely manner.
- Ensure that all tax computations are made i.e. corporation tax, stamp duty, PAYE, withholding tax, LST and remitted on time.
- Ensure timely preparation and submission of statutory returns and timely submission of remittances to all statutory bodies.
- Provision of accurate financial information to all stakeholders.
- Supervise accountants and appraise their performance.
- Manage leave in line with the approved leave plan.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal applicant for the Tropical Bank Limited Finance Manager job placement must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce/ Business Administration with a bias in Accounting and or Finance
- Certified Public Accountant with CPA or ACCA
- Five years of experience in an Accounting or Finance preferably in a Financial Institution.
