About US:
Horyal Investments Holding Company Ltd has commenced the process to operationalize a leading new sugar factory at Atiak Uganda, East Africa. The Factory is jointly owned by the Government of Republic of Uganda ,with annual production capacity(APC). 60,000 Tonnes of granular sugar.
Job Summary: The Finance Manager (Payroll Account/Accounts Manager) will update, process and maintain an accurate payroll that handles employees’ salaries, wages, Overtime and all other forms of payment, maintain confidentiality interface with other relevant departments and sections and ensure that all such payments are delivered within the stipulated period. .
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Handle the company tax, PAYE and other withholding tax.
- Liaise with the respective government departments, submit return and maintain proper compliance with them.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of positive pay transactions including treatment of foreign currency transactions
- Identity employees’ status (including those that are newly employed, promoted or terminated) in conjunction with the Human Resources
- Department before processing their payments.
- Cooperate with salaries and wages Clerks for the earnings, deductions and attendance of employees
- Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly and quarterly financial information
- To ensure the optimum utilization of fund
- Encourage confidentiality in the payroll unit so that there is no leakage of information from the same unit.
- To reconcile the accounts on time
- Liaise with the banks and financial institutions regarding loans and assist in the daily banking requirements
- Any other duty provided by management
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in a related business field and professional qualification in Accounting.
- Must have CPA/ACCA from a recognized Institution in Uganda.
- Should hold a Bachelor’s degree in a related business field and professional qualification in Accounting.
- Must have CPA/ACCA from a recognized Institution in Uganda.
- Knowledge in use of Sun systems package and personnel management is desirable.
- At least five (5) years working experience as a Payroll Accountant in the manufacturing sector.
- Age: 30 years and above
- Knowledgeable in payroll parameters, systems and management, competent in computerized accounts, numerate and very accurate with figures, good analytical skills, proficient in Sun systems computer package, good communication and interpersonal skills.
