Cairo Bank Uganda is inviting applications for the position of Credit Administration Officer. This role is based in Kampala, Uganda, and reports to the Manager, Credit Administration & Monitoring.

Job Summary: The Credit Administration Officer will be responsible for preparing credit documentation, managing client facilities in line with approved terms and conditions, credit policy, and regulatory requirements.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare offer letters in accordance with approval requirements, credit policy, and regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate with collateral valuation and insurance service providers.
  • Manage the security documentation and securities movement book in liaison with the Legal department.
  • Ensure pre-disbursement compliance and proper limit input.
  • Monitor post-disbursement compliance with approved terms and conditions.
  • Manage the collection of repayment instalments and ensure accurate system coding.
  • Assess log books and handle payment of stamp duty for logbook endorsement.
  • Remit staff insurance and consumer loan premiums to insurers.
  • Ensure timely insurance renewals for business and collateral assets.
  • Prevent revenue leakage by ensuring correct interest rates and fee collections.
  • Generate monthly credit-related reconciliation reports.
  • Handle customer correspondences related to loan balances and releases.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university.
  • At least two years of banking experience in a credit role.
  • Good understanding of credit risk and credit administration.
  • Knowledge of credit products, accounting, and the banking industry.
  • Analytical and investigation skills.
  • Familiarity with FIA.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computer usage.
  • Results-driven, high integrity, and capable of multitasking.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
