Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Schedule and organize interviews.
- Support the planning and scheduling of orientation for new hires .
- Preparing, monitoring and renewing of staff contracts
- Ensure that all performance plans and appraisal forms are filed in all respective staff files
- Notify HR manager of approaching end of contract and follow up with renewals as instructed by managers.
- Ensure monthly database updated of staff leave/sick day leave balances within stipulated time frame.
- Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations etc)
- Deal with employee requests regarding human resources issues, rules, and regulations
- Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data (absences, bonus, leaves, etc)
- Familiarity with Uganda labor laws;
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a diploma in Human Resource Management
- Two years working experience in Human Resource department
- Computer skills – MS Word, Excel and Microsoft packages;
- A strong team player and committed to diversity, equal opportunity and capacity building;
