Job Summary:  The Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant will support the M&E Analyst in providing technical and administrative support.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

Data Entry and Analysis:

  • Arrange all hard copy program forms/documents into well-serialized files
  • Data cleaning and verification.
  • Review all data collected from the field to ensure that they are inscription error free
  • Enter all data provided in the appropriate formats, swiftly and accurately.
  • Save all data entered securely and ensure that all data entered is properly backed up on a daily basis in other secure locations (e.g. dropbox, googledocs, TechnoServe server etc)
  • Assist M&E Analyst in conducting indirect needs assignments and building M&E capacity for partner institutions
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

  • The ideal candidate for the TechnoServe (TNS) Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant job opportunity should preferably hold a degree/diploma;
  • Knowledge of MS Word, Power point, Advanced Excel is required;
  • Experience with data form design, collection and data entry and analysis;
  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team;
  • Demonstrated ability to work with large quantities of data and convert it into understandable results;
  • Excellent data analytical skills and interpretation, sound quantitative skills (managing, analysis and interpretation of data)
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills and ability to establish good working relationships
  • High-level computers skills in statistical packages particularly Advanced Excel and SPSS
  • Strong knowledge of data quality assurance, analysis and reporting.
  • Strong writing skills and experience with producing technical reports required.
  • Must have own laptop for the exercise
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
