Job Title: Fundraising and Grants Officer

About US:
Comprehensive Rehabilitation Services in Uganda (for people with disability) was established in 2006 as a private non-profit, non-governmental organization and is supported by CBM (Christian Blind Mission). CoRSU Rehabilitation Hospital and Rehabilitation Centre on Entebbe Road provides Orthopaedic Surgery, Plastic Surgery and Rehabilitation, mainly for children with disability.
Job Summary: The Fundraising and Grants Officer will be responsible for the review and implementation of CoRSU’s fundraising strategy, establish and attract additional sources of funding (grants) and prepare attractive funding proposals and applications.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicants must hold university degree preferably in Development Studies, Social Sciences, Social Work and Social Administration,
- At least three years’ experience in writing funding proposals and a proven track record of writing successful grants.
- Highly effective analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to research issues interpret and analyze information.
- Previous exposure and experience in working in the NGO/Not-for-Profit sector with proven track record of working with donors such as USAID, UK AID, DFID, EU and others.
- Excellent writing, communication, presentation and writing skills
- Keen attention to detail.
