About us:
Introduction The Government of the Republic of Uganda received financing from the International Development Association (IDA) towards the implementation of the Uganda Reproductive Maternal and Child Health Services Improvement Project (URMCHIP). The Projects are implemented through the existing institutional arrangements of Government whereby the respective Departments at Ministry of Health and other Government Parastatals are responsible for implementation of the respective components of the Projects.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participate in the graphical design of a variety of RMNCAH communication materials.
- Contribute to increasing the visual brand of RMNGAH services through graphic branding to help increase utilization of RMNCAH products and services
- Work with the Health Promotion Advisor to determine requirements for items requiring graphical design work.
- Work with stakeholders and advise them with regard to design style, format, print production and timescales for RMNCAH designs.
- Plan and develop concepts, graphics and layouts for communication channels, reports, publications and activity illustrations for RMNCAH issues.
- Mustrate concepts by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts.
- Obtain approval of concepts by submitting rough layouts for approval to the Health Promotion department.
- Determine size and arrangement of illustrative material
- Review final layouts and suggest improvements if required.
- Monitor RMNCAH IEC products by coordinating with outside agencies, and art services on a regular basis to ensure deadlines are met and materials are printed to the highest quality
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal applicant must possess a Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design, Communication Design or a related qualification from a recognized institution.
- At least five (05) years of relevant experience in Graphic designing with a focus on health issues. One should have demonstrable creative flair, and up-to-date knowledge of industry software
