Human Rights Research Grants in Pakistan
The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) is delighted to introduce the I. A. Rehman Research Grant in honour of the veteran human rights defender and former secretary-general of the Commission.
HRCP will award one grant to an academic, journalist or human rights defender or professional for original research carried out in any area of human rights (civil, political, economic, social, cultural, or environmental) in Pakistan.
Funding Information
HRCP will award one grant of PKR 350,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- The grant is open to Pakistani citizens or foreign nationality holders of Pakistani heritage.To apply:
- Submit a 400-to-500-word research statement, explaining how your proposed topic is aligned with HRCP’s work and how it will contribute to the literature on human rights or to the human rights movement.
- Submit a current CV.
- Awardees must submit a final research paper (between 5,000 and 7,000 words) to HRCP for review and approval by an independent grants committee.
- HRCP will publish the document in English and Urdu for dissemination among policymakers, human rights defenders, academics, and the media.Apply by 30th October.
