Welcome to Iganga school of nursing and midwifery which is a registered private training school for nurses and midwives founded in 2009.its located in Iganga district along Jinja – Malaba highway Off Nekoli Guest House pathway at Iwawu village before Iganga C.M.S village. This school is registered and licensed by the Ministry Of Education Science Technology and Sports and Ministry Of Health.

School Vision

To equip,monitor and maintain the training of students expected to deliver quality services to the ugandan community and East & Central Africa at large.

School Mission

To train and equip ugandan boys and girls and the world as a whole with technical skills and knowledge in nursing and midwifery, in accordance with the Uganda Nurses and Midwivies Council (UNMC).

Goal

To contribute to excellent health services through medical traing and provision of health services.

Objectives

  • To have excellent capacity to train 1500 Nurses and Midwivies by 2024.
  • To construct a fully-fledged training hospital for our students.
  • To develop strategic partnerships and networks at local and international levels to enhance the learning environment.
  • To mobilise and responsibly utilize resources towards the sustainable development of the school.

School Principal

The day to day management of the school is the responsibility of the Principal. He/She is in charge of implementing the board policy decisions. He/She ensures that the school is adequately staffed and equipped. He/she further expected to maintain academic excellence and general discipline of both the staff and students, as well, ensure a continuous rise of enrollment and effectively retain the contineing students.

Two academic registrars assist him/her mainly:

  1. In charge of Academics.
  2. Ass.In charge of Academics.

Staff

Iganga school of nursing and Midwifery is blessed with over 18 well qualified teaching staff and growing stronger and these are all headed by a Board of Directors.
