International Holland Scholarships: Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science (Netherlands) 2018 – 2019
ABOUT THE COMPANY
The Ministry of Education, Culture and Science is a Dutch Ministry founded in 1918 and was formerly known as the “Ministry of Education, Arts and Sciences”. Although the ministry has undergone numerous name changes since its inception, in 1994 it was named the “Ministry of Education, Culture and Science”
The Ministry is responsible for not only Education, Culture, Science, but also Communications, Research and Gender equality.
ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP
The Holland Scholarship is financed by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science and numerous Dutch universities of applied sciences and research universities.
The Scholarship is intended for international students from outside of the European Economic Area (EEA) who wish to study in the Netherlands towards a bachelor’s or master’s qualification.
Scholarships will be awarded to the value of €5,000 (approximately 1,600,000 Nigerian Naira) – this is a partial tuition scholarship which will be granted in your first year of your study.

Please ensure that you meet these minimum entry criteria before applying:
- NOT an EEA citizen or national
- Do NOT have a degree qualification from an education institution in the Netherlands
- Passed the entry requirements at your selected tertiary institution (which can be found on the institution’s website)
- Applying to study a full-time bachelor’s or master’s programme at a participating Dutch higher education institutions (listed below)
