Isbat University Bachelor of Science in Applied Accounting (BScAA)
Course Objective
The applied Accounting seeks to mold students into leaders to tackle the challenges of solving techniques in the context of complex projects and teams, and in the midst of changing and conflicting demands.
The course provides hands -on learning experiences combined with practical classroom instruction, Case studies and field learning with essential business skills needed to effectively manage and lead organization.
The program integrates sound project management techniques and professional communication skills efficiently and effectively. It helps to analyze and apply the best practices and standards, conform to legal and regulatory standards, and provide appropriate ethical consideration including respect for privacy and fiduciary responsibility. Eventually, the students can interpret and apply accounting standards to a broad range of business environments to include, public, private, non-profit and government organizations.
Eligibility Criteria
For Direct Entry:
(i) Uganda certificate (UCE); and
(ii) At least 2 principal passes at Uganda advanced Certificate of education(UACE) obtained at the same siting or its equivalent
For Lateral Entry to Semester 2
(i) All the above (i) and (ii) criteria
(ii) Successful completion of ACCA F1, F2 & F3
(iii) 2 years of work experience as an Accountant in any organization
