Overview
Job Purpose:
• Supporting Program and Implementation of Safe Male Circumcision including
conducting trainings and coaching other resource persons.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Conducting training, coaching and mentoring safe male circumcision sites and teams
• participating in accrediting circumcision sites as assigned.
• Inspecting SMC sites if they meet the required minimum standards
• Mentoring and coaching about Counselling Patients, Examining Patients and
circumcising clients
• Participating in circumcision core activities
• Supervising the Implementing minimum standards on circumcision guidelines of MOH
• Auditing and reporting severe adverse events
• Participating in support supervision at national and regional levels
• Meeting with DHOs and Facility In-charges and discussing program implementation
• Keeping all work related documents, supplies, records confidential
• Writing Program Activity reports and submitting them to the Supervisor in time
• Performing any other duties as assigned from time to time
Key Outputs:
• Training and capacity building of providers at community and facility level conducted
• Supervision Training and Mentorship conducted
• Training materials, curriculum and job aids revised
• Safe Male Circumcision safely conducted
• Program activity reports written and shared
• Documented Best Practices and Innovations
Key Performance Indicators
• Supervision, Mentorship and coaching reports.
• Capacity and training Building reports.
• Quality Improvement and Surge Performance reports.
• Performance review meeting reports.
Qualification and Training:
• Diploma in Clinical Medicine,
• Candidates with Degree in a Medicine and Surgery will have added advantage.
• Three (3) years’ experience working with circumcision teams
Work Hours: 8
Experience in Months: 36
Level of Education: Associate Degree
