KUCCPS courses and cluster points

The KUCCPS, in 2017had to undertake placement of large number of students who performed exceptionally well in the KCSE. About 140 students were granted for admission to the Nairobi University to study medicine; all of them secured ‘A’ grade. Apart from it, 88,626 students got admission into public and private universities, with the number of women exceeding that of men.

It has also been seen that out of the 522,870 students that sat their KCSE that year, only 28 students secured ‘A’ grade in English; grade ’D’ was scored by 284,000 and their results in Mathematics were also not up to the mark, making it difficult for them to get the cluster points.

Some of the universities and the number of students they are admitting are:

  1. Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology – 4994 students
  2. University of Nairobi – 5955 students
