Kyambogo University Biomedical Engineering
Well come to the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (DEEE), Faculty of Engineering (FoENG) web page.
We live in a world dominated by electrical and electronic devices that impact all aspects of human endeavor–from communications and computers to defense and medical technologies. With innovations that progress from concept to production in a matter of months, or even weeks, electrical and electronic engineering is arguably the fastest growing and broadest of all technical fields. With a history that dates back 1922 along side other departments in FoENG, the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering is known for its innovative approaches to undergraduate electrical and electronic engineering education. Its programs produce tomorrow’s leaders of this dynamic, complex and competitive field.
Whether you’re interested in information technology, computer engineering, personal and wireless communications, robotics, imaging technologies, electric power generation or transmission, or mechanical/electrical interfaces, DEEE’s integrated, flexible, project-based and hands-on curriculum will provide you with the education and the skills you need to succeed in your career or in graduate school.
The Department will launch a new Diploma programme in Biomedical Engineering next academic year. Two new programmes, Bachelor of Engineering in Power Engineering and Bachelor of Engineering in Electromechanical Engineering have been passed by University Senate and are awaiting consideration by University Council and Accreditation by National Council for Higher Education. All programmes impart management skills together with aspects of life skills to prepare the graduates to face the real world with the right knowledge, skills and attitude to give service to the community.
