What are the entry requirements for nursing in Uganda?
To be eligible for the direct entry into the Diploma in Nursing Programme, a candidate must satisfy the following admission criteria:-
O level Results:- Credits in the following subjects; English, Biology, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
A level Results:- A principal pass in Biology and two subsidiaries in Chemistry, Physics, Food and Nutrition and Mathematics.
How many years does it take to study nursing in Uganda?
School of Nursing and Health Sciences.The course lasts 2 ½ years. The course aims at providing competence-based training in skills required by a modern Nurse/Midwife.
How much is a nurse paid in Uganda?
According to the revised salary scale, a senior consultant currently earning sh3,447,065 will earn sh4,500,000, a consultant currently earning sh3,059,079 will earn sh4,200,000, an enrolled nurse currently earning sh413,158 will earn sh613,158.
