About Us:
Finnish Refugee Council (FRC) is an international NGO promoting adult education and community development among refugees and has been active in Uganda since 1997 as an operational partner to Office of the Prime Minister and United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, develop and coordinate Business Skill training course activities, formation and training of VSLA groups, training and support to IGA.
- Carry out and support needs and capacity assessment and market feasibility studies.
- Provide technical assistance and support to the field staff in planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluation of livelihood and small business activities.
- Support active Monitoring and Evaluation, collect and analyse data.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant for the Finnish Refugee Council (FRC) Livelihood and Small Business Team Leader job placement must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Livelihoods / Business skills / Enterprise Development etc.
- Five years of professional work experience, of which two years in team leader position.
- Knowledge of Swahili, Dinka, Nuer, Luo and / or Acholi are an advantage.
- Previous experience in training, material development and participatory methods.
