MacDowell Colony Grants
MacDowell Colony Grants: MacDowell Colony Grants are for residencies to writers, composers, visual artists, photographers, printmakers, filmmakers, architects and those collaborating on creative works.
Travel and Writers’ aid grants are also offered.
Eligibility:
Artists with professional standing in their fields, as well as emerging artists, are eligible for residencies.
Grants are irrispective of national origin. International applicants encouraged to apply.
The Colony encourages artists from all backgrounds to apply.
It does not discriminate against anyone on the basis of age, race, handicap, sex, religion, marital status, or national origin in its admission policies or in access to its programs and activities.
It is the policy of The MacDowell Colony that no one with the AIDS virus, ARC, or HIV shall be denied admission as long as he or she is otherwise qualified.

Program Description
Residency Program: Fellowships consist of residencies for up to two months.
Financial aid to supplement fellowships is available for travel to and from the colony.
Small stipends are available to writers only based on financial need.
Deadline(s): Jan. 15, Apr. 15 and Sept. 15.
