Global Surgical Initiatives (GSI) Inc. is a not for profit NGO incorporated in Uganda in May 2018 in collaboration with Mt. Sinai Hospital of New York, USA. The NGO is located in Kyabiirwa, Jinja District and was started to offer charitable surgical services to the Ugandan community.
Job Summary: The Maintenance Manager will oversee all installation, repair and upkeep operations of the company’s facilities. They will be tasked with having a solid understanding of plumbing and electrical systems as well as other operational systems. The jobholder will be well- versed in all maintenance processes and health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will also have aptitude in undertaking administrative tasks such as supervising, reporting, budgeting etc.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, preferably in electrical engineering.
- Experience as maintenance manager or other maintenance role
- Solid understanding of technical aspects of plumbing, electrical Systems etc.
- Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment
- Ability to keep track of and report on activity facilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Computer skills
