MAK CAES Holds Field Day to Mark End of Recess Term
Makerere University College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (CAES) on 12th August 2017 held the Kabanyolo Field day to mark the end of recess term activities for semester II of the 2016/2017 academic year. The Field Day enables students to practice and demonstrate skills acquired in class.
The function was attended by Makerere University staff, farmers from different parts of the district, surrounding community members, NAADS officials, Uganda National Farmers Federation (UNFFE) representatives among others.
210 Undergraduate students undertaking degrees in Agriculture, Horticulture, Agricultural and Rural Innovations as well as Food Science and Technology underwent a 7 weeks competence based training to equip them with hands on skills ranging from production, management and entrepreneurship.
