Application and Eligibility Criteria for the Scholarships
CATEGORY 1: PhD SCHOLARSHIPS FOR STAFF FROM MAKERERE AND THE PARTNER PUBLIC UNIVERSITIES (1 Position)
Funding is available for Ph.D Scholarships targeting staff from the five Public Universities. These scholarships are tenable at Makerere University. The general admission requirements of Makerere University will apply, however, other eligibility requirements include:
1. Possession of a Master’s degree from a recognised University
2. The Concept/proposal should be relevant to women and gender studies and will generate new gender/feminist knowledge

CATERGORY 2: MASTER DEGREE SCHOLARSHIPSFOR STAFF FROM MAKERERE AND THE PARTNER PUBLIC UNIVERSITIES (4 Positions)
Staff development scholarships from Busitema, Gulu, Kyambogo, Makerere, and Mbarara Universities are available for Master Degree programmes tenable at either Makerere Universityor any other partner public university in Uganda starting Academic year 2017/2018. The general application requirements of the prospective public University will apply, however, other eligibility requirements include:
i. Evidence of admission to the Master degree programme at either Makerere University or any other partner public university
ii. Interest in mainstreaming gender in parent discipline
iii. Evidence of employment at the partner public University
