Makerere University  Endowment  Fund  (MakEF) is an entity of Makerere University established in 2014 and mandated to achieve her long term financial sustainability efforts.

Objectives

  1. To mobilise, receive and grow financial resources for the benefit of the University’s current and future generations.
  2. To offer scholarships, research support and innovations
  3. To enhance the learning environment in the University

Mak Endowment Fund Run

Brick by Brick together, alumni, friends, and well- wishers can build the Students Centre that will be the Meeting point for students and create a lasting impression, Build for the Future. The estimated cost UGX: 15 billion. The Students Centre is aimed at enhancing the quality of student life and experience.

The Chairperson- MakEF Board of Trustees -Dr. Martin Aliker together with the Chairperson Makerere University Council-Eng. Dr. Charles Wana-Etyem & the Vice Chancellor-Professor Ddumba-Ssentamu invite you to join the MakEF Run aimed at building a financially sustainable Makerere University.

The Run is also aimed at supporting the Fund’s inaugural project “Students Centre”

Date: 14th May 2017
Time: 7:00 a.m
Place: Flag off by Chancellor at Freedom Square

All proceeds will go towards the Endowment Fund Premier Project for putting up a Students Centre to replace the Students Guild Canteen. The Students centre will create a unique space to accommodate the current and future student needs.
