Tropical Bank Limited, a commercial bank in Uganda, is seeking to hire a Manager for MIS (Management Information Systems) & Products. Job Summary: The Manager MIS & Products will be responsible for integrating new datasets, developing profitable products, delivering accurate reporting on sales and portfolio performance, and ensuring the bank meets its profitability targets. This role involves close collaboration with various departments, including Business, IT, and Credit teams.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support strategy formulation and implementation by integrating new datasets and developing profitable products.
- Deliver accurate reporting on sales and portfolio performance.
- Utilize algorithms and models to mine big data, improve models, and validate data for accuracy.
- Enhance existing reports with dashboards to optimize reporting efficiency.
- Analyze data for trends and patterns to provide insights for continuous process improvement.
- Review product performance and recommend enhancements or new products.
- Conduct revenue assurance to prevent revenue leakage.
- Provide training and support on MIS reports and products.
- Monitor bank performance to ensure adherence to the budget and revenue targets.
- Comply with AML/CFT/CPF policies and procedures.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- University degree (Honours) in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related business fields.
- Five years of progressive experience in business banking in a commercial bank.
- Solid understanding of MIS and products.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, SQL, and programming languages (e.g., Java/Python, SAS).
- Knowledge of MS Office tools and understanding of banking products and services.
- Proactive approach to customer and employee queries.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and fluency in English (knowledge of Luganda is an advantage).
- Ability to work under pressure and in a team environment.
- Demonstrated integrity and customer orientation.
- Strong communication, presentation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Decisiveness and a strong background in general banking knowledge.
