The Uganda National Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Alliance (UNREEEA) is a coalition body of the private sector players in the renewable energy and energy efficiency sub-sector of Uganda, whose key mandate is to avail a platform for actors to merge synergies and improve the business environment in the sector.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
General Duties and Responsibilities (25%):
- Meet the revenue goal for the Alliance and the growth goal for new members
- Plan, and execute outreach events and other opportunities to promote the Alliance
- Plan, prepare and manage the publication and distribution of promotional materials; coordinate with outside agencies i.e. designers, to produce marketing material such as energy magazine, newsletter and Event material.
- Design and implement marketing campaigns
- Organize a calendar of marketing events, such as dinners, promotions, exhibitions, product launches, workshops or fundraising activities.
- Represent UNREEEA at events to raise brand awareness.
- Undertake market research and establish the best way to reach alliance stakeholders.
- Write, edit and proofread marketing material for use in different networks or forums.
- Oversee and update the website(s)
- Analyze the impact of marketing campaigns and prepare measurement reports
- Write press releases and communicate with the media
- Membership Marketing
Contribute to UNREEEA’s membership growth through implementation of membership marketing initiatives (65%)
- Works closely with the communication manager to create and implement membership acquisition and growth initiatives.
- Design and deliver compelling emails and digital marketing campaigns to build awareness and interest leading directly to enquires, membership conversion and sales.
- Maintain and develop our joint membership and marketing strategies with member association and take lead on rolling out across all regions.
- Coordinate the production, advertorials and sale of UNREEEA’s energy magazine.
Administration (10%)
- Develop and use annual and quarterly work plan to guide and deliver results
- Ensure all promotional work aligns and adds value with the alliance ‘s vision, mission and values and strategic direction and current operations.
- Contributes to planning and organization of marketing strategies for member acquisition and general promotion of the Alliance
- Supports the coordination, planning, organization, advertising, delivery and evaluation of activities that promote UNREEEA’s programs elsewhere.
- Coordinate, the planning, organization, delivery and evaluation of specific UNREEEA Events.
- Contribute to the content and oversight of the Alliance ‘s online environment (website, social media and platforms etc)
- Assist the communication department with development of Alliance ‘s promotional material within the networks.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a B.A or B.S in Marketing
- Five years’ experience in a fast paced membership marketing environment.
- Training and experience in digital marketing
- Strong strategic planning and marketing skills
- Experience in managing print production and member ship partners
- Strong database management skills
- Strong communication skills and outgoing personality
- Attention to detail and multi-tasking experience
- Ability to recognize opportunities for growth and design marketing plan fr that opportunity
- Market research experience
- Ability to plan, set and meet deadlines.
- Analytical skills: marketing metrics, and evaluation of programs, surveys, web interface and social media experience
