Kagando Rural Development Centre/Kagando Hospital was founded in 1965 as a Leprosarium and Nurses’ Training Centre by an African Inland Missionary called Dr Carl Baker, who had himself been forced out of Eastern DRC by the Simba rebellion of 1964. Today the Hospital has a 256-bed capacity, a School of Nursing and Midwifery (230+ students), a Primary school and Nursery school (700+ students), a Mothers Care Home, a Microfinance Project, Christian Nurture/Church Ministry; and community outreach projects in Water, Sanitation, Adult Literacy, Agriculture, Nutrition, Entrepreneurship, and Community Health Programs. It is a a Church of Uganda Founded Private not for profit making Institution.
Job Summary: The Midwifery Tutor will effectively conduct classroom and clinical teaching to learners offer support and timely evaluation of the teaching- learning process.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor of Medical Education with Midwifery background or Bachelor of Midwifery Science with a post graduate Diploma in Medical Education.
- Bachelors or diploma in midwifery is a must.
- Must be registered with the regulatory body of country of origin and the Uganda nurses and midwives council.
- Must be a practicing Christian (if married, attach a copy of your marriage certificate).
- Should be a female.
