About Street Child:
Street Child of Uganda works in the refugee and development contexts, supporting children to access education. Currently, our major projects are based in Palabek refugee settlement and Kyaka II refugee settlement providing primary education to refugee and host community children. In addition to this Street Child is supporting children across Uganda with primary, secondary and tertiary education scholarships.
Job Summary: The Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning Officer will support the M&E Manager in data collection, data entry and cleaning, analysis and dissemination of results, and impact evaluation of Street Child of Uganda’s education programmes.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support in monitoring of data collection process carried out by the implementing partners in the field and provide technical support to the field team.
- Support on the development and implementation of a qualitative and quantitative M&E tools and routine program monitoring activities.
- Work with the M&E Manager to monitor the key project performance indicators (KPI) throughout the duration of the projects.
- Conduct entry of project data.
- Review data files and perform data cleaning operations to ensure all observations are uniquely identified and reported data is consistent.
- Maintain high quality filing system.
- Maintaining integrity and consistency in data while merging data files to produce clean data.
- Perform data analysis using different statistical packages to produce required results for different reports.
- Provide necessary information to the team for producing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
- Perform any other duty assigned by M&E Manager related to information management.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field, such as Statistics, Information Management, Information Technology, Health, Social Sciences or Economics.
- At least two years of experience working in M&E.
- Excellent written English communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills, ability to facilitate communication between various levels of management and work independently in order to meet deadlines.
- Previous experience in data collection in development organizations is highly desirable.
- Excellent proficiency in Excel and large datasets, or managing databases.

Position: This role will be based in head office in Kampala with regular travel to the field. This is a fixed term contract which will be in effect from 1st January 2020 – 31st December 2020.
