MSC Atomic Scale Modelling of Physical, Chemical and Biomolecular Systems

MSC Atomic Scale Modelling of Physical, Chemical and Biomolecular Systems

MSC Atomic Scale Modelling of Systems: The European Union offers scholarships for MSC Atomic Scale Modelling of Physical, Chemical and Biomolecular Systems to students from outside the European Union.

This one year MSc degree operated jointly by Ecole Normale Supérieure in Lyon, University of Amsterdam, University la Sapienza in Rome, will provide a high level qualification in the rapidly expanding field of computer modelling in physical, chemical and biomolecular sciences.

The methodology will cover the full range from quantum mechanical atomistic descriptions to coarse grained mesoscopic models.

Fields of application include in particular condensed matter and statistical physics, chemistry, physical chemistry, materials science and theoretical biomolecular science.

Twenty to thirty students will be integrated in this program, with a professor/student ratio close to one.

Duration: 1 year.

Scholarship Admission criteria:

Applicants should have an excellent University record, with at least 4 years of prior studies corresponding to 240 ECTS, with major in one of the following fields: physics, chemistry, engineering, applied mathematics, bioinformatics.

Proof of English proficiency (TOEFL 500 or IELTS 5.6 or equivalent) will be required.
