MUHAS Orientation Announcement 2016 / 2017
IMPORTANT NOTICE ON ORIENTATION AND REGISTRATION FOR
ACADEMIC YEAR 2016/2017:
This is to inform the applicants who have been selected to join various undergraduate and diploma programs at Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS) that the orientation week officially begins on Monday 24th October, 2016 at 8:00 am.
Selected applicants for diploma courses should report at their respective campuses as indicated in the admission letters. Admission letters and other instructions may be collected from the Admissions Office at Muhimbili Campus from the 10th October, 2016. Selected undergraduate students who are allocated rooms should report at the MUHAS Chole Road Hostel located at Masaki area near the International School of Tanganyika (IST) on 22nd and 23rd October, 2016. Make sure you bring the following items for the registration exercise on the 24th October, 2016 at Muhimbili Campus:
1.Admission letter
2.Original Birth Certificate
3.Original Certificates of Secondary Education Examination; C.S.E.E, A.C.S.E.E or Diploma/degree Certificate
4.Four recent black and white passport size photos and four colored passport size bearing your name and the course of study at the back
5.Filled Medical Examination Report Form
6.Your Bank Account number and Name
7.Download Registration and NHIF Student Form from MUHAS website. Please note further that all selected applicants will have to join or show evidence that they are members of the National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) or other health insurance scheme in order to be registered. NHIF form should be filled in duplicate.
Students are advised to do all the necessary payments before arriving at the University so as to avoid unnecessary delay in the process of registration. All necessary payments indicated in the joining instruction should be deposited as follows:
a)For undergraduate programs; NMB Account No. 2091100002 in favor of Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS). Pay TZS. 50,400/= for NHIF in the same account and obtain a separate bank pay in-slip.
b)Diploma programs, NMB Account No. 2091100016 in favor of Director Institute of Allied Health Sciences (IAHS). Pay TZS. 50,400/= for NHIF in the same account and obtain a separate bank pay in-slip.
Selected students shall only be registered for studies in the academic year 2016/2017 after producing original deposit bank pay in-slip. All students are also advised to come with sufficient money to cover their subsistence expenses.
