ENERAL INFORMATION TO 2016/2017 UNDERGRADUATE SELECTED APPLICANTS

Congratulation! For being selected to join the fast growing university in Tanzania “Mwenge Catholic University” to pursue your undergraduate programmes for 2016/2017 academic year; here are general information about registration and orientations

You are required to report to the university on 15th October, 2016 for registration and orientation from 17th to 22nd October 2016. Classes shall begin on Monday, 26th October 2016.

Please bring your Original academic certificates, transcripts, other relevant academic documents and birth certificate on the registration day. The admission letters shall be issued upon the arrival and those who are living near to the University can come and collect their admission letters to the University from Monday 10th October, 2016.

Location

The University is located some 7 kms North of Moshi town on the road to Mweka Wildlife University. The University is signposted from the YMCA round about. Take Sokoine Road towards KCMC Hospital and at about 2 kms past the KCMC hospital the University is signposted on the left.

Payment of Fees and Registration

MWECAU will register students who have paid tuition fees and other fees as shown in the fee Structure before the registration day. All payments should be made through the Bank indicated in the Fee structure.

Hostel Accommodation on Campus

Please note that Mwenge Catholic University has limited facilities for accommodation. Priority will be given to International Students, Students with disabilities and few students who come early. Students are requested not to pay for accommodation on receipt of Admission letter. Payment will be made after he/she has been allocated a room. Given this scenario you are advised to arrange for your accommodation prior to the commencing of the programme by the assistance from student government.

We also attach herewith certificate of medical fitness that you have to present to a medical practitioner that will examine you and comment on the form as required. You will bring this form together with all other document mentioned above.

Note IV

  1. Administrative fee is to be paid full at the beginning of the academic year
  2. Administrative fee is non-refundable.
  3. Fee structure is subject to changes without notice.
  4. All Fees must be paid before registration for the semester.
  5. The original copy of the bank deposit slip should be submitted immediately to the Finance office clearly indicating the name of the student, programme and year of study. Late submission will attract penalty.
  6. For those with active NHIF cards should pay tshs 49,600/= only instead of 100,000 indicated in the fee structure.

NB:

  1. Students are adviced to follow the payment instructions strictly. Any money deposited in a wrong account should be considered unpaid.
  2. DO NOT DO ANY TRANSACTION THROUGH M-PESA, TIGO PESA, AIRTEL MONEY OR CASH.
  3. Academic Activities shall be conducted from Monday through Saturday inclusive. Upon arrival on campus   you will be required to sign an agreement form to abide by the rules and regulations of the University.
