NUST Hostel Accommodation

Accommodation

Hostel accomondation provides quality living quarters. There are three (3) hostels with a capacity of 440 beds. There are two (2) female hostels and one (1) male hostel. The three (3) Hostel Superintendents are assisted by ten (10) Housing Committee (HC) Members.
The Namibia University of Science and Technology has limited on-campus accommodation. Full degree international students may contact the Dean of Students Office for advice on nearby off campus self-catering accommodation outlets. Exchange students may contact the Dept of International Relations (link sends e-mail) regarding accommodation.

This section provides students with a wide range of nutritional meals served at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Menus are planned in conjuction with the Menu Committee. This section also ensures a clean living environment, maintenance of hostel and kitchen facilities.
The Social Worker and Student Counselor/ HIV/AIDS Coordinator provides individual and group counselling to all Kitchen staff on Hygiene, grieve and HIV/AIDS related issues.

29 March – 01 April: Mid-semester Break
20 June – 08 July: Mid-year Recess
03 July: Hostel & Kitchen officially Open
22 August – 25 August: 2nd Semester Break
20 November: Hostel & Kitchen officially closed until February 2017

Valentine’s Dinner

The Valentines Dinner is one of the main events for the Hostel Students and is organised by the Housing Committee Members. The event is organised to add to the purpose of creating socializing events for the hostel students, where they can interact with their fellow Hostel Students.
