New Two-Year Europaeum Scholars Programme 2018

The Europaeum, an association of twelve of Europe’s foremost universities is launching a new two-year Europaeum Scholars Programme, starting on January 2, 2018.

To create a new two-year Europaeum Scholars Programme, which will be taken alongside an existing doctoral degree, with an emphasis on multi-disciplinary team work, and a focus on policy. It will be open to any doctoral student at a member university whose work engages with European Studies, broadly understood. The programme will commence at Oxford University in January 2018 and continue at Leiden, Geneva and Prague.

The scholarship is designed for those exceptional students who have the capacity and the desire to shape the future of Europe for the better.

The Europaeum is an association of a dozen of Europe’s leading universities 1 which brings together students and faculty working in the humanities and the social sciences with a focus on contemporary European issues.

Course Level: These scholarships are available to pursue doctorate programme.

Study Subject: These scholarships are awarded in humanities or the social sciences

Scholarship Award: The programme is fully funded by scholarships worth 10,000 euros covering full accommodation, travel and all tuition.

Number of Scholarships: Thirty scholarships are available.

Scholarship can be taken in Europe

Eligibility: Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • Applicants must be doctoral students at a university that is a member of the Europium and must be studying a doctorate that lies either in the humanities or the social sciences and whose work interacts with European Studies, broadly understood. They must also receive the support of their home University.

Nationality: European applicants can apply for these scholarships.

College Admission Requirement

Entrance Requirement: Applicants must be doctoral students.

 

International Scholarship

How to Apply: Applicants can apply by post.

  • A copy of the applicant’s school and university exam results
  • A CV of no more than two pages
  • A personal statement of not more than 500 words (see above for details) and a statement in not more than 50 words of the qualities they respect (see above)
  • Two academic references about their graduate work, one of which should be from the applicant?s doctoral supervisor
  • Two non-academic references about the applicant?s personal qualities (not from relatives).

Application Deadline: The application deadline is mid-November.
