Job Summary:
ASIGMA is seeking passionate and motivated Information Science interns in Kampala, Uganda. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with an interest in information technology and data management. Interns will gain practical experience in information science, working on real-world projects and contributing to innovative solutions.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Data Collection and Analysis:
    • Identify and evaluate data sources.
    • Import and clean data for analysis.
    • Organize and analyze large datasets.
    • Develop data cleaning and transformation procedures.
    • Address data quality issues and transform data for analysis.
    • Document data processes.
  • Data Visualization and Reporting:
    • Utilize visualization tools for insightful reporting.
    • Choose appropriate visualization techniques.
    • Design and present clear, informative reports.
    • Support data-driven decision-making with visualizations.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Information Science, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of Data Management principles.
  • Proficiency in Data Analysis tools like SQL, Python, and R.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
