Job Title:  Office Assistant (No Experience O’ Level Jobs)

Job Summary:   The Office Assistant will provide administrative and clerical support to the National office, ensure 100% support of office events and meeting, distribute documents and information to different places in line with the division strategy.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

Promote a healthy working environment:

  • Kitchen cleaned 3 times a day
  • Ensure waste management for the kitchen and offices is regularly maintained
  • Maintain a clean kitchen at all times
  • Advise division assistant on restocking of office utilities and consumables
  • Sweeping and Mopping
  • Dusting and Cobwebbing
  • Coordinate fumigation at least bi annual
  • Cleaning windows and walls
  • Emptying and cleaning dustbins

Administrative support of WV meetings and events:

  • Arrive early to prepare and serve tea for staff
  • Prepare tea and bites for staff and stake holder meetings and events
  • Advise on adequate stock of tea supplies for meetings

Clerical support to the division:

  • Available to respond to staff requests for document delivery between Nakasero and Kisozi offices
  • Facilitate administrative support to other departments i.e: facilitate in-house meetings, filing stores issue notes for items received from stores
  • Provide accountability of consumables (weekly reports/ stock movement cards)

Self-Initiative and Drive:

  • Positive attitude to work and supporting the divisional objectives
  • Commitment to WVU Christian values and moral codes
  • Adherence to organizational guidelines and commitment to implementing them in daily routines
  • Collect waste and dispose it off.
  • Offloading and loading items

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

  • The applicant for the World Vision Office Assistant job placement should preferably hold an O level certificate.
  • Fluency in English is preferred.
  • Must be able to work in a team with minimum supervision and flexibility.
  • Must belong to a local church.
  • Must be very hardworking, courteous and friendly
  • Commitment to working in a diverse team
  • Must be able to stay calm in stressful moments.
