About US:
The Lotteries and Gaming Regulatory Board (LGRB) is a body corporate established under the Lotteries and Gaming Act No. 7 of 2016 which came into effect on 8th April 2016. The Act is supported by a set of 5 Regulations which came into effect on 28th May 2016. The law mandates the Board to regulate the operations of lotteries, casinos and betting houses (Industry).
Job Summary: The Officer Strategy will implement approved research studies and collect data relevant to the development of the organization’s strategy, policies and procedures in line with the Boards policies and procedures.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Execute the approved research agenda in line with the Organization’s policies and procedures.
- Compile and provide requisite information for updating and synchronizing the issues to constitute the research agenda of the Organization on an annual basis.
- Collect and collate data/information used for policy development and decision making.
- Prepare research reports for dissemination to stake holders for policy and process improvement in line with identified needs and the research agenda.
- Implement a system for the adoption of research innovations in line with Organizations annual performance agreement.
- Prepare quarterly and annual reports and work plans in line with the Organization’s policies and procedures.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant for the Lotteries and Gaming Regulatory Board (LGRB) Officer Strategy job opportunity should hold an Honors Degree in Statistics, Economics, Commerce, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Urban planning and other related courses from a recognized university.
- Specialized training in research methods is an added advantage
- At least three years of relevant experience in a reputable organization
