A Diploma in Clinical Medicine, Nursing or an A-Level Certificate (Science combination with subjects acceptable for candidates doing medical courses) is required. – More is explained below
The post-basic programme admits candidates who are in practice and have a diploma in Clinical Medicine or Nursing from a recognized institution. These are trained in Ophthalmology for only one year.
The direct entry scheme admits candidates who have completed advanced level (Senior six). The candidate must have offered a science combination with subjects acceptable for candidates doing medical courses as per Curricula guidelines. These are trained for a duration of three years.
