Computing & Informatics studies at Namibia University of Science and Technology offer different areas of specialisations as well as different exit levels.
The Diploma programme is being awarded to students who successfully passed all subjects required for the first year of studies and who have mastered the skills and knowledge needed to deal with modern computing and communication technologies in the workplace such as introduction to computers, the internet, mathematics for IT, programming, and databases. This programme leads to the possibility of study on a range of degrees in Computing & Informatics studies.
Informatics aims at providing educational opportunities for students who are interested in and motivated to work as Informatics Specialists in Business Computing, Information Systems or related practices. Computer Science aims at providing educational opportunities for students who are interested in and motivated to work as Computer Scientists, Software Developers, Systems Administrators or Networks Specialists.
