Polytechnic of Namibia International RelationsThe Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST) is home to 656 (2015) international students from all over the world out of a student population of 12,749 in 2015. The university also recruits international academic staff. The international student profile includes full degree international students, exchange students, interns and study abroad students. International students enrolled at the Namibia University of Science and Technology are from countries such as; Algeria, Angola, Botswana, Burundi Cameroon, China, Congo , DRC, Ethiopia, Finland, Germany, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Mali, Niger, Nigeria Philippines, Rwanda, Sierra Leone South Africa Swaziland, Tanzania, Tunisia, Uganda, Ukraine, United States of America, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
International students may join the Namibia University of Science and Technology as:
Exchange students
Exchange students come to the NUST to complete part of their formal qualification requirements. The credits gained during their attachment to the NUST are transferred to their home institution. Exchange students are not eligible for the award of a NUST qualification. Student exchanges take place where a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed with the home institution.
Study Abroad students
Study Abroad students come to the NUST to complete specific modules, courses, projects or visit on a fee-paying basis (free-movers).
Interns
Interns are students who complete in-service training as part of their qualification requirement either at the NUST or under the auspices of the University in a company or institution nominated and agreed to by the NUST.
Full Degree/Diploma International Students
Full degree international students apply to the University similar to other full-degree Namibian students and pay the required tuition and other fees as invoiced.
