Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Business Area Management:
- Develop vision, mission, and future strategy for the business area.
- Implement objectives, philosophies, policies, and budgets approved by EXCO.
- Support Consumer Banking Management in process evaluation and upgrading.
- Submit annual business plan incorporating a sales plan to Consumer Banking leadership.
- Ensure compliance with statutory records and regulatory requirements.
- Human Resource Management:
- Achieve TCF deliverables in specific business areas and role levels.
- Ensure fair, need-based, communicative, and reliable interactions.
- Product Management and Customer Experience:
- Create awareness of Bancassurance solutions within the bank.
- Evaluate products and solutions versus market demands.
- Coordinate with insurers to implement product changes.
- Ensure all bank assets are adequately insured.
- Sales Strategy:
- Ensure staff selling insurance are accredited and undergo necessary training.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales.
- Monitor product performance and take corrective actions.
- Design and implement Bancassurance incentive campaigns.
- Product Marketing and Distribution:
- Incorporate Bancassurance offerings into marketing for banking products.
- Market and promote Bancassurance through all available channels.
- Own and initiate marketing programs to drive product volume.
- Product Communication:
- Review all Bancassurance product communication to prevent miscommunication.
- Ensure end-to-end processes are mapped and all product information is available to sales teams.
- Financial Management:
- Monitor financial numbers against budget.
- Generate required monthly and annual reports.
- Analyze reports and track performance vs. budget.
- Devise corrective tactics to meet budget where applicable.
- Compliance:
- Ensure full compliance with legislative requirements and regulations.
- Provide training on required documentation and compliance.
- Address issues of non-compliance promptly.
- Systems and Operating Environment:
- Coordinate system requirements and developments to meet business requirements.
- Manage and review specifications for new product developments and enhancements.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or Generic Management.
- Minimum of 10 years of work experience in insurance.
- Thorough knowledge of financial services industry, insurance, and retail banking.
- Strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
- Analytical, interpersonal, and management skills.
