About Imagine Her: Imagine Her is a non-profit organization focused on empowering women, girls, and youth as leaders and social entrepreneurs in Uganda. The organization aims to provide accessible innovation skills and resources for sustainable social ventures.

Position Overview: The Program Associate will oversee the Social Enterprise and Innovation program, focusing on entrepreneurship training in areas like agribusiness, climate change, and rural housing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and oversee the Social Enterprise and Innovation Program.
  • Support program participants in developing social ventures using design thinking methodologies.
  • Conduct basic research on climate change and identify investment opportunities.
  • Develop strategies to address climate challenges through a business lens.
  • Facilitate market studies, business planning, and product development.
  • Establish strategic partnerships and collaborate with government departments and stakeholders.
  • Identify communities for program implementation and liaise with local leaders for participant selection.
  • Ensure the survival of start-ups beyond their first year by identifying potential risks and solutions.
  • Manage and coach field staff, including recruitment, training, and mentorship.
  • Support entrepreneurs in the sustainability of ventures and management of IH funds.
  • Lead M&E activities, ensure accurate data collection, and produce timely reports.
  • Write monthly and quarterly reports on program activities.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Entrepreneurship, Environmental Management, Business Management, Education, or relevant field.
  • Post-graduate qualification is a plus.
  • At least 2 years of experience in facilitating entrepreneurship and community training.
  • Proficiency in computer use for word processing, presentations, Excel, and email.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to speak and write in the local language of the district is an advantage.
