Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure consistent billing & financial reporting at project level by following best practices.
- Review project budgets and work plans to guarantee appropriate fees.
- Offer exact invoices to clients and coordinate consultant payments.
- Monitor account receivables and support project managers with collection efforts.
- Run and send pre-bills for project manager’s review and instructions.
- Present monthly, quarterly and year to year financial reports accompanied with analysis of results.
- Ensuring the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the program’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant for the BRAC Project Accountant job must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Finance & Accounting or a related field (Testimonials will not be allowed).
- ACCA, CPA or a related will be added advantage.
- At least three years’ experience in projects or NGO Accounting.
- Very good Computer, interpersonal & communication skills.
- Comparison of manual procedures & automated procedures
- Good financial management skills, systems set up & development.
- Experience in complex accounting and finance systems including reporting, budgeting, audit and compliance.
- Experience in managing teams of culturally diverse employees, building capacity and training staff.
